A rich and varied collection of approximately 70 paintings by the late Beverly (Ensing) Young will be offered for sale at the Steynberg Gallery Art After Dark, from 6-9 pm, Friday, April 3rd. The proceeds from the sale of the work will go to an “angel fund” envisioned by Young to assist individuals and organizations who need a helping hand and would provide immediate short-term help, such as a meal, a hotel room, a tank of gas or medicine for a sick child, art supplies for children, art therapy programs or other needs. A short program featuring readings from short story collaborations of Young and Linda Seeley and Young and Jane Elsdon is scheduled. Refreshments will be served.
Young, an SLO resident until 1998 and a well-known and beloved Rolfing expert, moved to Kaui in 1998. She continued painting up until her death in April, 2008; she finished her last painting the day of her death.
